If your baby is a minimum of 8 weeks to pre crawling then come and join our baby yoga class!
Baby Yoga is suitable from 8 weeks (providing your baby was full term). However as the moves and positions are physically demanding, please leave at least 12 weeks if mum is bringing baby and has had a caesarean dependant on how you feel you are recovering.
Our Yogi Baby is a a gentle, fun way to bond with your little one while promoting their physical and emotional development. Our sessions are tailored to suit both you and your baby’s needs, providing a nurturing environment where you can engage in meaningful, mindful movements together.
Our class is a baby led class that is an interactive routine you are going to perform with your baby. It will consist of various movements, postures and stretches to work on a number of outcomes and benefits for your babies developmental stages, flexibility, strength and helping with brain and body connections whilst working towards milestones.
In our Baby Yoga classes, you'll learn a variety of movements and techniques that can help improve your baby's flexibility, strength, and coordination. These gentle exercises can also enhance their digestion and promote better sleep patterns. At the same time, you'll find that participating in these activities helps to reduce your own stress and fosters a deeper connection with your baby. Each session is led by Nicole a trained Neonatal Nurse and Health visitor trained in both baby massage and baby yoga with expert knowledge in infant development, ensuring that you and your baby are in safe, knowledgeable hands.
In addition to physical benefits, baby yoga also emphasises the importance of emotional and psychological wellbeing. Through eye contact, touch, and responsive interaction during the yoga sessions, babies and caregivers build a strong emotional connection. This bonding time is crucial for the baby's sense of security and emotional development. Furthermore, the practice of baby yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety for both the baby and the caregiver, promoting a sense of calm and relaxation that can be beneficial in managing the challenges of early parenthood.
