Molten Necklace Workshop at Oxo Tower Wharf

The Ringsmiths invite you to try the newest addition to their popular jewellery making workshops.

A molten necklace class exploring the art of reticulation - where the surface of sterling silver is rippled and ridged through a process of sustained heating, to create beautiful moonscape-like textures. This serendipitous process means that no two necklaces are alike and are truly unique.

Over the course of 2.5 hours you will be guided step by step through a range of techniques such as piercing, reticulation and soldering to create your one of a kind necklace.

This fun and engaging workshop gives you the creative freedom to experiment with the reticulation process. Allowing you to make a diverse looking range of pendants - from molten moonscapes to characterful faces, the choice is yours .

We also offer a range of optional extras for your necklace within the class which include:

• Longer chains up to 30 inches
• Extra pendants
• Gold plating
• Gemstone setting
• Solid gold

If you would like to have a solid gold pendant we would make a mould of your sterling silver one created on the day and quote you to have it cast in 9ct/18ct, yellow, rose or white gold.
All additional extras can be chosen and paid for on the day of your workshop.

Suitable for complete beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. In your session you will have plenty of opportunity for one-to-one interaction with the jewellers to help and guide you.

Participants must be 18 or over.

You will leave with your finished necklace(s) on the day, unless you choose to have gold plating/stone setting, hallmarking, engraving or solid gold. Additional services have a 3 week lead time (per service).
